MEMBERSHIP FOR 2013

An application fee is payable by all new members.
Membership will be due for renewal as from 1 December each year.
Membership ceases if fees is not paid before 1st March 2013.
Renewals received after February 2013 are subject to the payment of an application fee.
Entry fees at events are additional.
Junior members must be scholars of 18 years of age or younger.

MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS

Option 1:

Supporter Membership Fee:  N$  100-00

Profile:

You love cycling, you want Windhoek Pedal Power (WPP) to be there and protect the interests of road cyclists in Windhoek, but you don’t want to take part in WPP races yourself (except perhaps supporting a family member or friend.)  You want to have a vote at the WPP AGM.

Option 2:

Adult Racer Membership Fee:  N$  450-00

Profile:

You want to have fun with other cyclists and test yourself in WPP cycle races during the two road-racing seasons of the year.  You will be at least 18 years old on 31 December 2012. You want Windhoek Pedal Power to protect the interests of road cyclists in Windhoek, and you want to have a vote in WPP decisions.

Option 3:

Under 18 Racer Membership Fee:  N$  250-00

Profile:

You want to have fun with other cyclists and test yourself in WPP cycling races during the two road-racing seasons of the year.  You will still be under 18 years old on 31 December 2013. You want Windhoek Pedal Power to have a voice.  You don’t yet have a vote in national elections, but you will have a vote at the annual general meeting of WPP.  We’ve made it as cheap as possible for you in view of WPP’s long tradition of supporting junior riders.

Option 4:

Pitch and Ride Fee per event for adult:  N$ 60-00

Profile:

You don’t want to join the club at this stage.  For the time being you just want to pitch up at some WPP races and join in the fun.  Alternatively you might be a Supporter (option 1) who joins in some WPP races from time to time.

 NCF FEES

The fees above exclude any day licence fees payable to the Namibia Cycling Federation (NCF). Our club is affiliated to the NCF. This allows our members to partake at the Namibian National Time Trial and Road Race events and for International Events. The NCF on their part is affiliated to the Namibian National Olympic Committee (NNOC) and the UCI (International Cycling Union). This enables our members to be chosen to represent Namibia at the Olympics and participate in events sanctioned by the UCI.

The UCI licence is not included in the NCF fee described above and must be obtained additional if required for any National and/or International Participation at the NCF.

WPP CLUB WAIVER

Cyclists participate in WINDHOEK PEDAL POWER and NAMIBIAN CYCLING FEDERATION events entirely at their own risk. Cyclists shall have no claim whatsoever against the organising body or bodies, any individual organiser or official, marshal, assistant, helper or agent, the sponsors, any local authority or their employees, any member of Windhoek Pedal Power or any other member of the Namibian Cycling Federation, in respect of loss or damage to property as a result of, or arising out of, whether directly or indirectly, their participation in any events organised by Windhoek Pedal Power or the Namibian Cycling Federation, whatsoever such loss or damage may arise and regardless of whether or not the same shall have been caused directly or indirectly by the negligence, albeit gross, of one or more or all the aforementioned parties.
