The Bicycling Empowerment Network
Namibia (BEN) is a new section 21 company not
for gain aims to:

| Import second hand bikes from
overseas charities, |
| Provide training in bike mechanics, |
| Start community bike shops to
sell and service bike and create job oppertunities, |
| Support healthcare organisations
with bikes for home-based carers and develop "bicycle
ambulances" for emergancy transport, |
| Assist learners in remote areas
with getting to school, |
| Improve conditions for cycling
(e.g. more bike lanes) by assisting government
with planning for cyclists, |
Promote cycling as a healthy,
eco-friendly and affordable means of transport.
How you can help BEN Namibia: |
| Donations: We are a small independently
funded organisation with many social welfare objectives.Funds
are required to develop projects like bicycle
ambulances. |
| We have many voluteer opportunities,
from cleaning and reparing bikes to fund-raising,
marketing and financial advice. |
| Buy a Bike: You can buy a bike
for yourself, or donate to one of the organisations
BEN Namibia supports. |
