The Champs are still a while to go but for everyone to have a fair chance to be the best, most of the info has been made public for best preparation. Good to see that the men will head up matchless twice again for a proper road race.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The First half year season is done and dusted and the winners were all awarded for their hard efforts at the AGM and Prize Giving last week. The final results table can be viewed here

The 2010 Nedbank Cyclte tour has gone past us, but what a great success it was once again.
Over 1300 Riders gathered on the start line in Independence Avenue on Sunday to ride either 75, 35 or 20km routes.
Big names where on the start line again this year with Mannie Heymans once again topping the list, his team mate Marc Bassingthwaighte was there too to name a few.
Another great participation came from Oshakati and surrounding. They came down with the whole cycling club and took top honours in the short distances.

Happy New Year to you all!
As I drove back from swakopmund yesterday I already heard an add for the NEDBANK Cycle Tour. They have got something big planned this year so you, yes you, need to start pedaling off those extra few Tafel Lagers you had. (You'll have to ride an hour longer per camelthorn you had)
2010 is a big year for southern Africa being the soccer bla bla.. but it could also be your big year! Kick it off with getting back to shape with a bicycle and you will also have a better life in general. You'll sleep better, you can eat more the more you train, you drink much cheaper...just a few classic excuses to get fit.
For those of you that kept active during the festive season, good on you. Send me an email with your most adventurous ride and i might put it up here to share with others.
